Alizée is the founder of French That Works, where she helps learners move beyond textbook French and speak more naturally through practical, reusable sentence chunks
My name is Alizée, and I’m a secondary school French teacher as well as a content creator. I’m French, and I know that French has a reputation for being a difficult language to learn, so my goal is to make it easier and more accessible to everyone. I’ve been teaching French for over 10 years, and throughout my studies and career, I’ve developed a teaching method based on sentence chunks rather than isolated words. Research shows that our brains learn language more effectively through chunks, and since implementing this approach in my lessons, I’ve seen first-hand how useful it can be for my students. I’m currently living in Asia and teaching French at a British international school. I’m a qualified teacher, and teaching French has been a passion of mine for many years.
