Diana Hernandez is a Colombian Spanish teacher and creator of Spanish with Diana, helping learners turn the Spanish they understand into the confidence to use it in real conversations.
Diana is Colombian, born and raised in Ibagué, a peaceful city in the heart of Colombia, surrounded by mountains and nature and deeply rooted in culture and tradition, especially folklore and music. She studied International Business, but after graduating, she began working independently and eventually decided to travel the world. Along the way, and especially after her first experience in Mexico, she discovered the incredible diversity of the Spanish language—the different expressions, slang, cultures, and ways of seeing life that exist within the same language. While traveling, she found a way to combine her passion for languages, cultures, and travel by teaching Spanish online. Her own experience learning English also changed the way she teaches. She realized that listening, interacting with native speakers, and learning complete phrases for real-life situations could make a language much easier to learn. She started creating content on social media and gradually built a community of more than 600,000 people. Today, she creates courses and tools to help English speakers learn Spanish in a practical, natural, and, above all, super easy way. Outside of social media, Diana loves traveling, nature, hiking, good food, and spending time with her family and her dog, Spanish. She is passionate about connecting cultures and believes that understanding and respecting our differences can help make the world a better place.
