Joan Comellas is co-founder of ¡Qué Pasa! Español, where he helps thousands of learners improve their Spanish through engaging podcasts and authentic content.
I'm Joan, an entrepreneur in the education sector. You'll find me in the Netherlands, where I passionately run my Spanish language schools while also leading ¡Qué Pasa!, a podcast and online academy with a growing community of Spanish enthusiasts. I love taking on new challenges, leading projects, and watching them grow. My biggest motivation is bringing Spanish closer to people who don't have it in their everyday lives. I want them to feel they are part of something special—a welcoming community where everyone shares the same dream. Whether they're attending our classes, listening to the podcast, reading our books, or using any of our learning materials, my goal is for them to feel as if they're on holiday in Spain, surrounded by the language, the culture, and people who are just as passionate about learning Spanish as they are.
